# Contact cards

> Add a business name and icon to your iMessage number

Contact cards let you set a business name and icon on your iMessage number so recipients see your brand instead of a raw phone number. Contact cards are available on the \$250/mo Outbound plan.

## Setting a contact card

Use the [PUT /v1/numbers/\{id}/contact-card](/api-reference/contact-cards/put-contact-card-v-1-numbers-number-id-contact-card-put) endpoint to create or update your card.

## Things to know

* It shows up for recipients who don't already have your number saved as a contact
* If you're testing with someone who already has a thread with that number, they may need to delete the conversation and receive a new message to see it refresh
* It can take a few minutes to propagate after setting it

> To verify your contact card is working, send a message to a fresh number that hasn't been messaged before.
